Thornock, PhD, CPA, CMA, CGMA, associate professor of accounting at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, has joined its Lincoln Advisory Board. Dr. Thornock brings extensive expertise in accounting, analytics and strategic decision-making. His research focuses on performance feedback, compensation and monitoring environments, offering practical insights that will help guide Cornhusker Bank’s impact and strengthen its ability to align organizational goals with customer needs.

Before joining the University of Nebraska–Lincoln faculty in 2017, Dr. Thornock taught at Iowa State University and earned his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin. He began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, serving as an audit and assurance associate in Austin, Texas, and San Jose, California, after graduating from Brigham Young University in 2002. At the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Dr. Thornock teaches accounting information systems and analytics at the undergraduate level and managerial accounting at the graduate level.
