Tony Ways to be Featured Speaker at CBMC Business Connection Luncheon

CBMC (Lincoln.cbmc.com) Lincoln will sponsor a Business Connection Luncheon on Wednesday, November 6, featuring Tony Ways with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) as the speaker. The event will be held at Suite One Eleven, 6891 A St. (Clocktower), from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration deadline is Monday, November 4.

His talk is titled When Life Hurts: A Journey of Growth through Pain. Sometimes experiences in life bring unanticipated and unwelcome challenges and pain. Just as exercise yields strength and endurance, adversity, and loss can yield the same fruit in our lives. Tony and his family continue to experience this as they recover from a four-year cancer battle with one of their children.

Tony is an area representative for FCA where he serves several Lincoln-area colleges. He and his family previously lived in Kansas City where he worked for Sprint and served as team chaplain for the Royals for several seasons. After moving to Oklahoma to serve with a small private school for four years, their journey led them back to Lincoln. Join CBMC to hear Tony’s powerful story of God’s faithfulness and comfort during their continuing journey.
