Union Bank & Trust (UBT, ubt.com) recently promoted both Cheri Luff and Michael Henkenius to Vice President – Trust Officer roles in the Personal Trust and Wealth Management department.

With 27 years of banking experience, Luff previously worked as an annuity/insurance agent and has served in various roles in UBT’s Personal Trust department since joining the bank in 1996. As a trust officer for UBT, she is responsible for helping customers with wealth management and trust and estate administration services.

A graduate of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology, Luff acquired her Certified IRA Services Professional designation from Ascensus and her Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation through the American Bankers Association.

Henkenius brings 26 years of banking and charitable gift planning experience to his role at UBT. His new responsibilities will mirror those of Luff, working with clients on their wealth management, estate and trust needs.

A graduate of Creighton University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics, Henkenius also completed Creighton University School of Law. He acquired his CTFA designation and is currently studying to earn a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation.
