Union Bank & Trust (UBT) (ubt.com) recently promoted Megan Wiedel to Vice President–Trust Compliance.
Wiedel joined the bank in 2004 as a teller and was promoted soon after to the Trust department, joining the compliance side of the division in 2009. Her new role will involve collaboration with all levels of staff and management of the Wealth Management division as well as other areas of the bank, providing strategic oversight and expertise for compliance monitoring and risk management.
A Lincoln native and graduate of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management, Wiedel is also a graduate of Cannon Financial Institute and a member of Fiduciary Investment Risk Management Association (FIRMA). She also holds the Certified Fiduciary Investment Risk Specialist (CFIRS) and Corporate Trust Master Certificate (CTMC) designations. She serves the community as a volunteer for numerous local nonprofit organizations.
