Nebraska Community Foundation (NCF) (nebraskahometown.org) recently welcomed Rhonda Veleba of Fairmont as its digital marketing specialist. This new role will boost NCF’s mission to unleash abundant local assets, inspire charitable giving and connect ambitious people to build stronger communities and a Greater Nebraska.

As the digital marketing specialist, Veleba will strategize, create and distribute a variety of dynamic digital content for NCF and its network of 1,500 volunteers serving 270 communities. She will also train volunteers on digital marketing and social media best practices and help them create content and strategies for effective distribution.

Veleba is familiar with the NCF network, having served as the coordinator for Connecting Young Nebraskans for three years. She also recently led an effort to establish the Fairmont Legacy Foundation Fund in her community. Prior to joining NCF, Veleba worked as the public relations and marketing specialist at V2 Graphics and Marketing. Before that, she was the member services director for the York Chamber of Commerce.

Veleba earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with an emphasis in management from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. In the last five years, 46,481 contributions have been made to mNebraska Community Foundation and its affiliated funds. Since m1994, Nebraska Community Foundation has reinvested $594 million in Nebraska’s people and places.
