Wilderness Ridge (wildernessridgegolf.com) is pleased to announce the promotion of Rachel Bowden to Executive Chef.
Bowden brings over 12 years of culinary experience to the kitchen, of which the last five she has served as the banquet chef at Wilderness Ridge. Bowden graduated from Baltimore International College in 2003 with a culinary arts degree. While on the east coast, she honed her skills in the kitchen serving as the kitchen manager at A Piece of Ireland in Newark, Del., followed by roles as the executive chef at Saint Anne’s Club, Frog Hollow Golf Club and Harry Savoy in Middletown, DE and Herman’s Cedar Lane Tavern in Wilmington, DE.
Bowden has a passion for bringing out the flavors in simple ingredients and creating farm-to-table dishes. This proves to be the perfect combination as Wilderness Ridge offers seasonal menus featuring produce, meats, and cheeses sourced from Lincoln area farms.
Wilderness Ridge, a KemperSports property, is open to the public and includes an 18-hole golf course designed by Jim White, a nine-hole executive course, an upscale-casual restaurant featuring steaks and seafood, as well as private banquet spaces for events of varying sizes, all in a rustic lodge setting. For reservations, call (402) 434-5118 and for tee times, call (402) 434-5106.
