YMCA Camp Kitaki is proud to announce that Senior Executive Director Jason Smith was honored with the Mid America Camping Conference (MACC) Mission Award during the recent conference in Michigan.
The MACC Mission Award recognizes a camping professional who demonstrates outstanding commitment to education, connection, and motivation within the MACC community. Jason was recognized for his long-standing dedication to strengthening relationships across the camping profession and for his commitment to supporting fellow leaders throughout the region.
Jason has been involved with the Mid America Camping Conference for more than 20 years. During that time, he has served as a Planning Committee member, MACC Chair in 2011, and has represented YMCA Camping at both national and international events. In addition to his leadership roles, Jason continues to actively participate as an attendee and presenter, focusing on building meaningful connections and creating inclusive environments within the camping community.
Members of the YMCA Camp Kitaki team attended the Mid America Camping Conference as part of ongoing professional development and collaboration with YMCA camp leaders across Mid-America and beyond.
