Lincoln Airport Authority’s (goflylnk.com) Rachel Barth, director of communications and customer engagement, and Kellen Skarka, operations specialist, both recently became Certified Members (C.M.) through the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).

Earning your C.M. is a great way to show your dedication to your airport career. This designation signifies that you have a diverse knowledge of the primary functions of how an airport operates and can provide the opportunity to progress up the ranks in a close knit community. To become a C.M., a member must successfully complete a 180-question, multiple-choice examination. The CM is a highly sought-after certification which encompasses aspects of airport management including: airport finance and administration; airport planning, construction, and environmental; airport operations, security, and maintenance; and communications and community relations.

Founded in 1928, AAAE is the world’s largest professional organization representing the individuals who work at public-use commercial and general aviation airports. AAAE’s 7,000-plus members represent some 870 airports and hundreds of companies and organizations that support the airport industry. To learn more, visit www.aaae.org.
