Join Rejuvenating Women (rejuvenatingwomen.org) at GL Lounge for a happy hour fundraiser from 3 – 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 10. The event has an admission fee of $25 as well as drink tickets, appetizers, live music and raffle prizes.
Rejuvenating Women is a nonprofit organization committed to providing hope, support, protection and restoration to individuals who have been trafficked and sexually exploited in Nebraska as well as throughout the country. They help survivors lead healthy and independent lives by empowering them with trauma-informed short and long-term housing recovery programs that help restore their physical, emotional and spiritual health. Rejuvenating Women also assists in the prevention of future human trafficking. Their goal is to further their reach to include children experiencing human trafficking and sexual exploitation as well as children in need of specialized care, compassion and a safe and secure environment in which they can receive love and understanding.
Raising awareness in Omaha and surrounding communities is extremely important to Rejuvenating Women. Their team of dedicated staff and volunteers invest in the lives of each individual they assist. Believing in a multidisciplinary team approach tailored for each situation, their integrated curriculum and trauma informed approach honors diversity in perspectives and experiences.
