The Belmont Community Center Celebrates 85 Years in 2022

The Belmont Community Center (BCC, belmontcommunitycenter.org) is proud to celebrate 85 years of serving the community in 2022! BCC started in an abandoned church in 1937 and to this day continues to serve and empower its northwest neighborhood. Do you remember when the BCC was a branch library? Is your name written on the walls in the game room? Have you volunteered in or attended any of their programs? Do you consider the nearby park the Purple Park, the Dinosaur Park, or Rocket Park? BCC is planning to celebrate their center – its history, its impact, and all the people who have created memories and made the BCC what it is today. Please re-connect, they’d love to hear from you!

The mission of the Belmont Community Center is, “To identify and define the social, cultural, recreational, and educational needs of the residents of the Northwest Lincoln community and to cooperate in meeting these needs by establishing programs and services, to the extent of their resources, while coordinating with and complementing the programs of other agencies.” Want to stay in touch with the BCC? Have a BCC story you’d like to share? Wondering what the BCC has been up to lately?
