The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has selected Seniors Foundation to develop a mixed-use development at the Lincoln VA health care campus at 600 S. 70th Street.

This will be accomplished under an enhanced-use lease project that envisions a mixed-use development composed of a new VA outpatient clinic and other new and renovation enhancements to the existing campus.

The VA will lease the 59-acre campus, including numerous vacant buildings, to Seniors Foundation. The developer will be responsible for financing, designing, building, managing and maintaining the mixed-use development.

This project has the potential to create construction and other job opportunities in the Lincoln area, and preserve the historical context of the existing Lincoln VA campus, while providing modern living facilities and amenities.

Seniors Foundation proposed a development that includes new VA outpatient clinic, general and medical office space, senior housing and some retail services.
The VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System proudly serves more than 167,660 veterans in Nebraska, western Iowa and portions of Kansas and Missouri. Omaha’s medical center is an inpatient facility and also a large outpatient clinic for primary and specialty care. A Community Living Center is in Grand Island. There are community-based outpatient clinics in Lincoln, Grand Island, North Platte, Holdrege, Norfolk, Bellevue and Shenandoah, Iowa, and an outreach clinic in O’Neill, Neb.
