On Friday August 4 from 5-10 p.m. musicians in the Witherbee area will be hosting a free concert in part with the Witherbee Neighborhood Association (witherbeena.org) and Civic Nebraska with support from local businesses including NRG Media Group, Better Homes and Dietze Music. They are excited to highlight local artists, local businesses and family fun.

This family-oriented block party is designed for Witherbee residents and open to the general public. They will be using their resources to put on a free show for the neighborhood, highlighting the residents of Witherbee. Most of the musicians have lived in Witherbee for several years and have been able to build a strong music and art community, which has supported them to grow personally and professionally.

This event also functions as a back-to-school neighborhood event including a school supply drive. Supplies will be collected during the event and then disbursed by LPS distribution center. They also plan to work closely with Food Net to provide food supplies. Fun and games will be included such as face paint, yard games, and a balloon artists.

Local businesses will be able to purchase sponsorship packages or make donation contributions. They look forward to raising awareness and giving back to the communities that helped them get to where they are today.

The event will take place on N Street between the blocks of 44th and 42nd. For more information, contact Chad Fey at (402) 378-6055 or chadjfey@gmail.com.
