On Sunday May 15 Wyuka Cemetery and Lincoln Safari will celebrate the restoration of Lincoln’s first park with a full day of outdoor, family-friendly activities. The day starts at 1 p.m. with a ribbon cutting and parade around the lake on a new walking trail. Lincoln Safari will kick off their 2011 program, “Lincoln Safari Advanced” with an opportunity to follow the clues to complete a Safari adventure. Children can also go on safari to the Wyuka wetlands and participate in hands-on activities led by nature experts. Adults and teens will enjoy a historic walking tour with Ed Zimmer at 2 p.m. Healthy refreshments will be provided by the Preservation Association of Lincoln.
