aces haus of cuisine lincoln nebraskaCentrally located at 70th and O streets, Aces Haus of Cuisine has certainly captured the attention of our community as a new member of the Lincoln dining scene.  Furthermore, with all of the buzz going on about new dining establishments in Lincoln lately, Aces Haus of Cuisine has set themselves apart with their exceptional venue, fresh twists on classic German and American cuisine, impeccable attention to the quality of their food and genuine customer service.  Their central location at 70th and O Street, as well as plenty of close free parking, makes them easily accessible from just about anywhere in Lincoln and on any time frame.  Whether you want to grab a quick lunch, take in the atmosphere of a truly comfortable and intimate dining experience, or host a large gathering, they can accommodate your needs.

We dined at Aces Haus of Cuisine recently, and we have nothing but amazing things to say about all aspects of the restaurant.  The building has been renovated to provide four separate entities that contribute to the overall ambiance and quality of their venue.  Their bar has been renovated to be contemporary and relevant, including televisions that are positioned better for viewing and an open bar area that is fresh and inviting.  This extends to the beer garden, which offers a sizeable outdoor space to enjoy.  As there was a focus on changing the space to flow better, the family-style dining room is also more open for flexibility of seating to accommodate any size of group comfortably.  Accordingly, their banquet room can accommodate up to 40 people and is sectioned off from the rest of the restaurant to provide extra privacy and less noise interference between the party and main dining area.  Everything about the atmosphere of Aces Haus of Cuisine adds to the dining experience itself; better lighting and window views, relaxing music that isn’t too loud or annoying, more room to avoid feeling crowded, servers who are gracious without being overbearing, and the smells are incredible!

As far as their menu, what’s not to love about having so many excellent choices?!  The goal of our party was to try as many of their unique or signature items as possible, but even that presented difficulties—we should have invited more people to join us!  Their delicious versions of classic sandwiches, burgers, pasta, steak and seafood are all equally appealing, and their authentic German cuisine and Vegetarian menu is full of menu items that you simply can’t find anywhere else in town.  We kicked the meal off with Reuben Soup, which absolutely melts in your mouth and has all the flavor of the classic sandwich with the comfort of a soup.  Their signature Jackpot salad was large enough for a meal, but great to split between everyone prior to our main courses.  This salad packs a flavor punch by incorporating fresh greens with flame-roasted pineapples, gorgonzola cheese, caramelized cashews, and their signature to-die-for Blueberry Vinaigrette dressing.  The never-ending supply of pretzel bread is a delicious bonus, but make sure you save room for your meal as they all offer very generous portions!  We tried staples from all across the menu, including the Black Jack Prime Rib which is rubbed with a unique Jack Daniels & Sage glaze, the Caribbean Stud Mahi Mahi seasoned with ginger and topped with a mango salsa, Sauerbraten that included perfectly sized dumplings, the Kaese Spätzle which is a unique creamy pasta dish stuffed with chicken, and we even built our own burger to try out the classic American fare.  Each menu item reflected a high level of attention to detail regarding flavor, pairing, presentation, and unique, fresh ingredients that were perfectly cooked together to make a meal worth savoring and returning to eat again and again.  That being said, there are so many excellent and unique menu options to try that you might have to go back a lot to get to a point where you can try the same item again!  They also offer very generous portions of their deserts, if you make it that far—their German Chocolate cake is incredible but we all agreed we plan on trying their Blueberry Streusel the next time we get a chance.

We also got the chance to visit with General Manager and Owner Eric Underwood and we were truly inspired by how passionate he is, not only about the food but about every single aspect of the restaurant.  He encourages everyone to “Go out and dine, instead of just eating.”  His extensive experience in the industry is impressive, and his passion and knowledge combined have created something really special.  We highly recommend Aces Haus of Cuisine as our expectations were exceeded in every way possible—our meal was nothing short of amazing and our visit was time well spent. Aces Haus of Cuisine should definitely be your next stop for a sensational dining experience in Lincoln that you won’t soon forget!
