Nebraska’s First Cardiac Surgery Center

Advanced Medical Imaging, the largest independent radiology group in Nebraska has made enormous strides in the transformation of outpatient services. Backed by the physician’s ultimate aspiration – helping all patients get back to their life – Advanced Medical Imaging Surgery Center was created and enhances outpatient radiology and surgical services in Nebraska.

The 11,500 sq ft building equipped with state-of-the-art imaging equipment allows patients to receive best in class interventional and vascular care that before would only be available in a hospital setting.

In a recent partnership with Pioneer Heart Institute, the center has become Nebraska’s first Cardiac Surgery Center. The center will not only provide cardiac and vascular services, it will also continue to offer interventional radiology procedures to diagnose and treat diseases in nearly every organ system. Further expansion of specialty surgery services supporting the local hospitals and independent physician network is expected.

With less than one year of operation, the center pursues innovation by bringing new procedures to an ambulatory surgery center. Dr. Rahul Razdan, Fellow of The Society of Interventional Radiology, is making history by being the first to perform Y90 treatment, a minimally invasive radiation therapy for liver tumors, and he is the first in the region to perform percutaneous arteriovenous fistula creation in an ASC. The Center is the first in Nebraska to perform diagnostic and interventional cardiology.
