Associated Hearing opened its doors in 1996 to provide services that educate individuals on the identification, prevention and rehabilitation options of hearing loss.  They work with patients from birth to age 100 to in providing a broad spectrum of services related to the health of hearing and balance.  We have three audiologist and two administrative assistants.

What was the motivation for starting this company?
There was, and still is a true need for individuals with hearing loss to realize what they are missing and how it impacts them on a daily basis.  With over 30 million people suffering  from hearing loss and only 10% of them seeking a solution, we are motivated to educate not only the individuals with hearing loss, but their  family members and health care providers as well.

What is your company’s ‘secret to success’?
My entire staff loves what we do.  In addition, we treat each of our patients as individuals with specific, individual needs.  We deliver ethical and loyal practice to ensure there is a trust and confidence in the service and products we provide.

What is the most important piece of business advice those who run the company have received?
When you advertise your business you need to tell your potential patients how you are different from everyone else.  If your competitor can put their name in your ad and it is still true . . . you’ve wasted your marketing dollars.

What is your vision for the future of your company?
Like any business, we want to be top of mind when anyone is considering our services.  We envision providing services not only to those with hearing loss, but custom products for  musicians, sports enthusiasts and recreational uses as well.

Why do your employees enjoy working for your company?
Providing a services that changes peoples lives is rewarding in itself.  We have a lot of fun and work well as a team.  My staff says no two days are the same and they enjoy the challenge each day brings.

What is the best testimonial your business has received from a client or customer?
One of our best testimonials came from Sheila Burroughs who stated, “I received outstanding service; very professional, courteous, patient and competent.  I will definitely recommend Associated Hearing.  It is always a pleasure to go because you are always greeted with a smile.”

How do you reward long-term clients or customers?
We have an annual Patient Appreciation Week in July where we provide food and refreshments all week, along with daily drawings for some great prizes, including a set of new hearing devices.  We also have a “Share the Care” program.  If our patients refer a friend or family member to us they receive rewards from local Lincoln business.

How has your company evolved over the years?
We are continually striving to be more efficient and sensitive to the needs of our patients.  Being accessible when we are needed has changed the way we schedule our day.  We also strive to be on the cutting edge of technology so we can provide better hearing solutions as soon as they are available.

What is the single most important thing you want our readers to know about your company?
We are much more than just a place to buy hearing aids.  Our services are applicable to all ages and all lifestyles.  When you think of anything regarding your ears, think of Associated Hearing.  We likely have a service or product that will improve your listening experience.
