Gary Michaels Clothiers (garymichaels.com) was founded by Gary Novotny and Michael Nevrivy in Hastings, Nebraska in 1983. The Lincoln store opened in 1993 in Williamsburg Village and the current location is in Village Gardens, 5720 Hidcote Drive. Nathen Rutt is currently the owner and has been part of the Gary Michaels team for 33 years.
Gary Michaels Clothiers has been “Nebraska’s Leader in Fine Gentlemen’s Apparel” for the past 43 years specializing in tailored clothing, furnishings, sportswear, outerwear, footwear, and accessories. We also offer a full line of custom-made to measure clothing from the United States, Canada, and Italy.
We are truly one of the last independent men’s clothing stores remaining in Nebraska and are currently Lincoln’s longest running men’s store. Since our beginning, over 20 stores of our kind have closed in our region.

Over the past 43 years we have had many recognized community awards but the most gratifying has been the “Nebraska Retailer of the Year” awarded by the Nebraska Retail Association in both 1988 and 2016. We actually were a “Top Five” America’s Retail Champion recognized by the National Retail Federation in 2016.
