Senior Helpers of Southeast Nebraska (SeniorHelpers.com/ne/lincoln) is Southeast Nebraska’s premier provider of in-home senior care. Our primary goal is to help provide a high quality of life for our clients and their families by delivering customized, dependable and affordable care. We go beyond standard care with specialized training and a personal commitment to each client’s wellbeing. Our offerings range from companion care for seniors to specialized care for those dealing with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Parkinson’s, and other chronic illnesses in the region.
At Senior Helpers, we are client-centric. We view the family and their loved one as our employer. We meet families and their loved one where they are at in their journey, and create a space where they control the care they receive on a schedule that truly meets their needs.
We set ourselves apart from other in-home care providers by completing a LIFE Profile Assessment which looks at a variety of medical conditions and safety risks. This data indicates the likelihood of hospitalization within the next six months. We utilize this data to help determine how we can best care for those in our community.
In addition to this assessment, our caregivers are required to complete extensive training, including hands-on training, in our office’s Center of Excellence to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and experience to provide quality care. Caregivers also complete ongoing training via virtual trainings which includes our Senior Gems training, an Alzheimer’s / Dementia training that was developed alongside American dementia care specialist, Teepa Snow. Lastly, we, the owners, accompany caregivers on the first visit to a client’s home to ensure that expectations are met and exceptional care is provided.
During the search for in-home care, people have discovered that many in-home care providers have a rate range for services. These rates typically increase as additional care is needed. At Senior Helpers, our mission is to help those in our community age comfortably in their home, therefore, we do not have a rate range, and we do not increase our rates when additional care is needed. In addition, you will find that many in-home care providers require weekly minimum hours. At Senior Helpers, we do not have this requirement.
