Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from the Strictly Business team! We are very grateful to be entering into 2019 with all our amazing clients and readers. It’s rewarding to serve the Lincoln community year after year. As a local news and marketing publication, we get a front row seat to all the exciting things happening in our area—new faces, new businesses, expansions, partnerships, charitable giving, outreach, the sharing of innovative ideas, etc. Our resolution for 2019 is to continue publishing relevant, reliable news each month, along with introducing the community to local industry leaders and experts.

New Year’s resolutions are a lot of fun to make, and we think they are pretty fun to share, too! Here is what the Strictly Business team is looking forward to accomplishing this year:

Paige Zutavern, President – I’m really determined to spend more time investing in my family and friendships this year. I have a hard time slowing down, but some recent events have reminded me how important it is to stop and smell the roses. I want to cultivate new friendships, as well as nurture my relationship with my long-time friends. Shayne and I are also enjoying watching our two sons grow up to be young men. As a small business owner who is super driven and loves to work, it’s easy for me to get wrapped up in those demands. This year, my goal is to take God’s lead more, which will require me to take a step back so I can see the plans He has for me, my family, and my business.

Hannah E. Hundley, Editor – As I think about my resolutions for this new year, I can’t help but reflect on what the last year ended up having in store for me. At the start of 2018, I didn’t know what Strictly Business Magazine was; now I find myself in the editor position, contributing to a publication I’ve come to believe in wholeheartedly. It goes to show how much can change is the span of 365 days. My goal this year is to continue to challenge myself and pursue what I’m passionate about. I’m also striving to strengthen myself physically, mentally, and spiritually a little more each day.

Sarah Young, Executive Assistant – What an exciting year! I’ve graduated college and landed my first full-time job. I cannot wait to see what lies ahead in 2019. Since starting at Strictly Business, I have already seen a lot of progress in my skill-base, but I look forward to really honing in on my productivity this next year. I am also setting a personal goal to find balance between work and play, now that I am seriously entering the “adult” world. I am thankful to have great people around me to help guide me through this new chapter. Happy 2019.

Holly Ryan, Art Director – As we say goodbye to 2018, it’s only right to reminisce on the all of the things to be thankful for. My family and friends are my biggest fans and supporters. They have made me who I am today and I cherish every moment with them. Also, I am so very fortunate to work with such a great team at Strictly Business. All of the amazing people I have met and continue to meet through my role here have made such a positive impact on my professional growth and I look forward to that continuing throughout 2019. A huge thanks to our readers and clients, I have developed an even bigger love for the Lincoln community because of you! Happy New Year to all! 2019, we have arrived!

Lizzy Werner, Office Assistant – 2018 has been a year full of change and growth for me. I am proud to announce that I recently finished classes at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and I am currently trying to adjust to life without school. I am so blessed with the opportunities I have been given and all of the wonderful experiences I have had this year. My heart is full, to say the least! As I am going into my fourth year with Strictly Business. I am eager to take on more responsibility and build new relationships, while still strengthening current ones with clients and coworkers. The knowledge I have gained and the networking I have done has been an amazing experience, and I can’t wait for more! I’m excited to see what this year has in store for me. May the year ahead be equally as amazing as the one that came to a close. Bring it on, 2019!
