Tell us a little about your business.

We work closely with our tenants to fulfill their objectives, from design to construction. I believe that our clients trust us with their projects because of our meticulous attention to detail, local knowledge, and generations of experience. Krueger Development also offers residential properties throughout south Lincoln. Our apartment homes are very clean, trendy, and spacious. They include walk-in closets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, ceiling fans, high-energy efficient washers and dryers, and underground heated parking. We build from the ground up, offering quality apartments homes, restaurants, gyms, and offices that are built on the pillars of integrity and honesty. I am really excited about our new development, The Woodlands Enterprise Center, at approximately 84th and Yankee Hill. We are set to start commercial construction to sell and lease this month. I was born a Lincolnite, and it is really exciting for me to see the city grow at a steady pace. It gives me a great deal of pride to be a part of such an amazing company that seeks to expand and improve our city.

How did you get started in the business?

My career experience and skills have grown from my childhood. I have always had a passion for people and children in particular. I was labeled a baby hog as a young girl and rightfully so as I was always coddling kids. I eventually went on to manage a childcare center and was then promoted to director. I spent 10 years in childcare management and then, one day in 2015, I got offered a position as a property manager. I took the opportunity and ever since I have been helping people find the right place to call home. I spent time after high school, studying abroad in Spain. I have a degree in human services from Southeast Community College. I speak Spanish and enjoy connecting with people from different cultures and communities.

Tell us a little about your family.

I met my husband Azuri Santana in his homeland, the Dominican Republic, on a mission trip in 2004. We have been happily married for nine years and have four beautiful daughters together. Their ages range from three months to eight years old. Aside from folding laundry, doing dishes, reading bedtime stories, and braiding hair, Azuri and I enjoy doing home remodel projects together.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?

Take my girls to the pool. They love to swim. We have a lot of fun splashing around in the water. I also enjoy riding bikes and taking a nice walk. I’m an outdoors person and take preference to the warmer climate.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Don’t spend more money than you make.

If you had a theme song, what would it be?

“The River” by Garth Brooks.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be?

A private investigator. I always thought it would be fun to search for clues and solve crimes. It would be rewarding to bring justice and closure for individuals and their families.

What is your favorite local restaurant?

I love to eat at El Toro. I think they have the best Mexican food in the city. The horchata is amazing there!
