Bill Masters began working for his dad at a young age in the service station business in Lincoln. During his senior year of high school, he began working at Parkway 66 Service and continued there as a technician for 20 years. 15 years ago, he purchased the business and continues to work as an auto technician as well as the owner. Parkway 66 is an automotive repair service that also sells Phillips 66 fuel with full service or self-service pumps. The shop also sells convenience items.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Keeping up with all the automotive technology. We attend classes regularly to keep up to date on the chancing technology of the automotive field.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Owning my own business.

Tell us a little about your family. – I have been married to my wife Linda for 31 years. Have two great children; my daughter Jaimie and son Ryan.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Marriage and the birth of my two children.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Spending quality time with my family, working on Hot Rods at my shop at home, camping and boating.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I sing karaoke.

What are you the most proud of? – My family.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – Treat others as you would like to be treated.

What is the one goal you would most like to accomplish? – Becoming a grandpa.

If you could have a super power what would it be? – To fly.

What are your plans after retirement? – Travel and see the country.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – I like to cook, especially when I am camping.

Which talent would you most like to have? – Playing the guitar.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – I don’t have much time to read and don’t remember the last one I read.
