Tell us a little about your business. – Over the years I have built a successful team consisting of myself, Listing Agent & Negotiator; Trishel Owens, Buyers Agent & Public Relations; Coralie Lang, Marketing/Network Media Specialist; and Jaclyn Lorimer, Support Staff. As a team we each specialize in a specific area of expertise so that we are able to give our clients the best possible service, ensuring that they have the most wonderful experience when buying or selling their home.
How did you get started in the business? – My passion started in Real Estate in 2001 as a Mortgage Loan Officer, and then demonstrating my entrepreneurial side, started a Real Estate Appraisal Company which I still successfully operate today. In early 2005 I obtained my Real Estate License. My hard earned experience, coupled with my true spirit of determination has proven over the years to create a successful long-term relationship with my clients who I strongly value.
What has been your most important achievement professionally? – My most important achievement has been my ability to gain and maintain the trust and loyalty of my clients. I have built a solid business constructed from people believing in me as a professional Real Estate Agent. Other important achievements have been obtaining and maintaining my licenses as a professional Real Estate Agent and successful Real Estate Appraiser.
Tell us a little about your family. – I am lucky enough to be married to my wife and business partner, Trishel. Together we have three beautiful children: Peyton (9), Marley (7), and Kyler (2). When we are not busy selling real estate you can find our family on the local bike trails or cheering on the sidelines of our kids’ soccer games.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I was born and raised in Rockford, IL, which is just about an hour west of Chicago. I proudly enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served four years as an Airframe Mechanic stationed in Whidbey Island, WA. Honorably discharged from the Navy, I moved to Bromfield, CO to complete my training and received my license as a FAA Airframe Mechanic. Duncan Aviation is what brought me to Lincoln, NE which is where I now call home.
What are you the most proud of? – I am most proud of being a well-rounded agent. Not only do I list and sell homes in Lincoln and the surrounding area I also am a well-educated agent in new construction properties. I am very informed about the areas of town that have lots available and the builders that build in that area. I am a personal representative for Remington Homes, a subsidiary of Aspen Builders. With my knowledge and expertise I am able to help many people through the building process, whether it be a starter home or a custom build.
What local non-profit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – My passion to give back to the Lincoln community is in the form of a Mentor. I am into my 5th year as a mentor in the TeamMates program. I can only hope that my time and dedication towards the young men and women that this program supports will make even a small difference in their lives.
