How did you get started in the business?
The business was founded in 1982 by my father and uncle. I started at a young age as a laborer, worked in the office through college and then became a project manager upon graduating from UNL in 2000.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?
Taking over the day to day management of the company at age 32. I was young and while I felt I was prepared, I was not exactly sure what to expect. Our team of quality people have definitely ensured my success with this endeavor.
What has been your most important achievement professionally?
Being able to continue the legacy my family and all of our people have worked so hard to establish.
Tell me a little about your family.
I have been blessed with a beautiful wife, Tracy, and four amazing children – Autumn (8), Ian(7), Anya(4) and Asher(3).
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
In college I made a decision to take my faith as my own and to let it guide me in life.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?
Relax and spend time with the family, hike, spend time at the lake, and go on bike rides.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?
I am an adrenaline junkie and love all extreme sports.
What are you the most proud of?
My wife and kids! They are my pride and joy, and I can’t wait to see who they become over their lifetime!
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be?
Honorable
If you could have a super power, what would it be?
Definitely the ability to shoot webs like Spider-Man.
If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be?
Some sort of racing.
