Tell us a little about yourself and what you do. – I’m a Lead Mover at T Square Movers (tsquaremovers.com) for seven years. I’ve learned something new every year, not just about moving, but about leadership, working with people and pushing myself. I also know how to do administrative and sales work within T2. This year I also started a side hustle with a friend, called CNC Auto, where we do mobile detailing and some basic mechanical work.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Time management and learning to become a versatile leader. I’ve learned that you can’t lead every person or handle every situation the same. I’m still learning how to adjust, communicate better and become the kind of leader the situation calls for.

What is an important achievement you’ve had professionally? – I’m proud that I’ve spent nearly seven years growing at T Square Movers and have stepped into a leadership role. Starting a side hustle this year is another accomplishment I’m proud of. More than anything, continuing to grow, learn new things and take on new challenges is the achievement.

Tell us about your family. – I’m grateful for the people who have been there for me, stood beside me and continued to be part of my life. To me, family is also the people who choose to show up for you.

What has been the biggest turning point in your life? – One for the worse and one for the better. In 2012, my mom passed away from cancer. She was our rock. I ended up coping in ways that weren’t good, including drugs and alcohol. That led to about nine years of being in and out of active addiction. The other turning point was getting clean. This year marks five years clean for me.

What do you enjoy doing on your days off? – Pretty much anything outdoors. I like golfing and frisbee golf.

What is something unique about you that people might not know? – I dropped out of high school and got my GED around 20 or 21. I wouldn’t recommend that path, but it shaped who I am. People always wonder where they would be if they had done things differently. I can’t know where I would have ended up if I had done everything “right,” but I know where I am now. I’m right where I want to be, and I’m grateful for that.

Who inspires you? – Probably the people around me the most. I’m inspired by people I can actually see and learn from, especially by watching how they treat other people.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – Don’t ask or tell someone to do something you wouldn’t be willing to do yourself.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be? – The Force. I’m a mover, so being able to move stuff without actually touching it would come in pretty handy.

What is your greatest talent that isn’t utilized at work? – Missing putts in frisbee golf. I’m pretty talented at that.

What talent would you most like to have? – Being able to predict the stock market.

What charitable organizations or causes do you support? – Cancer awareness is important to me, especially after losing my mom. T2 works with 13+ nonprofits every year, so I am around that.

What is your favorite movie? – Gone in 60 Seconds.
