Prior to returning to Lincoln in 2009, Derek Engelbart spent several years in St. Louis, where he developed a sales career in the medical and healthcare industry while coaching high school basketball.  Most recently, he worked as a Territory Manager in the Durable Medical Equipment area and was able to establish many valuable relationships, including the staff of Lincoln Orthopaedic Center.  When considering the opportunity to grow into a leadership role with LOC surgery center, it was a no-brainer for Derek and this new opportunity to oversee operations and staff allows him to use his God-given abilities to ‘coach’ staff and serve patients daily.  The inaugural year for Lincoln Orthopaedic Center was 1948, which makes them the most established orthopaedic practice in the Lincoln area. Their physicians offer board certified specialty care in all areas of orthopaedics and sports medicine. Each day brings new challenges. Lincoln Orthopaedic Center greets every challenge with innovation and compassion. Their objective has always been to offer their patients the most advanced medical care in a friendly, comfortable environment. Pursuing this goal, LOC has combined recent advances in outpatient surgical techniques with a state-of-the-art surgical facility.
