Dr. Rahul Razdan always wanted to treat cancer and thought the best way to do that was through interventional radiology using catheters and needles as he wanted to treat them in a minimally invasive way. He knew that today, many conditions that once required surgery can be treated non-surgically by interventional radiologists and interventional radiology treatments offer less risk, less pain and less recovery time compared to open surgery. Dr. Razdan now works as an Interventional Radiologist at Advanced Medical Imaging. Advanced Medical Imaging is an outpatient radiology facility in Lincoln. Interventional radiologists are board-certified physicians who specialize in minimally invasive, targeted treatments. They use X-rays, CT, MRI and other diagnostic imaging equipment to guide tiny instruments, such as catheters or needles, through blood vessels or through the skin to treat diseases without surgery.
