Tell us a little about your business.

Chiropractic care is completely natural healthcare. It can, without drugs or surgery, create optimum function of the central nervous system. At Express Life, we are dedicated to making the Lincoln area one of the healthiest communities and are focused on giving every individual that comes in the best care possible!

How did you get started in the business?

Dr. Ashley and I have always had a passion for helping people and too many times when we talk to people, they have little hope of ever getting symptom relief or getting back to doing things they used to enjoy doing. When we opened our doors in August of 2018, we made it a point to instill hope and speak life to every person that comes in. We want to help them achieve their personal goals and ultimately get their “life” back. I grew up in a small town in western Nebraska. After growing up receiving chiropractic care myself, I basically knew from the age of 16 that I was going to pursue it as my profession. I saw the benefits and wanted to share them with others. I graduated from University of Nebraska at Kearney with an exercise science degree and then went on to receive my doctorate in Chiropractic from Cleveland University – Kansas City, which is where I met Ashley. She and I have always had a passion for helping people. Too many times when we talk to people, they have little hope of ever getting symptom relief or getting back to doing things they used to enjoy doing. Tell us a little about your family.

We had a new addition to our family on June 27, 2019. Dr. Ashley and I welcomed our first daughter, Emma Grace Hayes, and we couldn’t be more excited to grow our family here in this great community!

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?

Getting married to my best friend. Ashley is hands down the best thing that God has put into my life. She holds me accountable and makes me a better person.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?

I really enjoy getting out for a nice round of golf or, during the fall, getting out in the woods and sitting in a tree stand for some archery hunting.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

“The gift is in the grind.” To me, this means that the people who are too focused on getting to the end goal forget the process is what shapes them.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why?

We do a lot of drives and events in our office where we partner with local nonprofits and different organizations to bless them. Also, it allows us to help create awareness around that specific organization’s needs.

What is your favorite TV show?

Last Man Standing.

What is your favorite local restaurant?

Stauffer’s Cafe on 48th St. You just can’t beat the customer service and their pie is one of a kind!

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be?

Arnold Palmer.
