Meet Heather Chloupek, co-owner of Paisley Lynn Boutique (paisleylynnboutique.com).

Tell us a little about your business. – We are a new home décor boutique here in Lincoln. We strive to provide beautiful accessories to help make your house a home.

How did you get started in the business? – During COVID, my salon was unable to use our waiting rooms, so I was able to take that space and try my hand at selling different retail items. What we learned is how much our clients at the salon loved shopping during their appointments. So, after meeting with my friend Cherie Anderson, we talked about the possibility of a store. We were pretty excited and dove right in!

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – We are still in the growing stages, so learning which vendors we want to partner with is huge!

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Taking this leap! I’ve owned my salon for nine years and owned another salon for eight years before that, but retail is completely different. It has been fun and very rewarding.

Tell us a little about your family. – My husband of nearly 18 years owns his custom cabinets shop, Usher Custom Cabinets. We live in Waverly and keep super busy with our four children, Gracyn (17), Logan (15), Paisley (10), and Porter (8).When we aren’t working, we can usually be found on the baseball or football field!

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – We have lived in Waverly for 12 years this summer, and we have always said it was probably one of the best decisions we’ve ever made as a married couple. We truly became part of our community.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I’m actually a really shy person. I get really nervous around groups of people, so I’m much better one on one!

Who inspires you? – My business partner Cherie. She is such a genuine person who walks in her faith daily. She is an amazing mom, and I only hope to have the relationships she has with her adult daughters. She has a super power to lift you up.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – “Let go, let God.”

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Giving.

Which talent would you most like to have? – Better computer skills.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – Architectural design.
