Tell us a little about your business. – Luxury Landscape exists to provide beautiful landscape to Lincoln and the surrounding areas. We deliver unique and luxurious landscapes to customers who want to beautify their yard or property. With 40+ years of experience, you can’t go wrong with us!
How did you get started in the business? – I started at Luxury Landscape with two years of experience in the landscaping industry. The owners, Ken and Jackie Svoboda, offered me a position where I could use my creativity while working outside.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Learning how to be a high-functioning team with differing, creative viewpoints.
What has been your most important achievement professionally? -Graduating from Moody Bible Institute with a bachelor’s in youth ministry.
Tell us a little about your family. – My wife of three years and I are expecting our first baby in October. We are surrounded with love and support on both sides of our family.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – When I was younger, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and became a born-again Christ-Follower.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – To go on dates and spend time with my wife, play with our dog Bukki, update our house, and hang out with friends.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – In Elementary School I won an art contest for the Henry Doorly Zoo. I also like to collect rare coins.
Who inspires you? – My father who helped me forge the work ethic I have, and he taught me to love the way I do.
What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – “Do or do not. There is no try.” – Yoda, or, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” – 1 Timothy 4:12.
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Kind.
If you had a theme song, what would it be? – “This is my time” by Lecrae.
If you could have a super power, what would it be? – Spiderman’s .
What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – I’m passionate about any youth ministry geared toward spiritual maturity in Christ.
What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan or the Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series by Rick Riordan.
What is your favorite movie? – Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
What is your favorite TV show? – Spectacular Spiderman.
What is your favorite local restaurant? – Kasumi Sushi.
If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Guy Fieri because I respect his love for food.
