What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?
Being new to the design industry in Lincoln and getting my name out there has been a challenge but I’m slowly making progress and I know things will come around.
Tell me a little about your family.
My husband, Colby and I have been married for almost 7 years and we have a beautiful and goofy daughter named Rooney.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
Starting a family turns your life around! Having a child makes you realize that the small things don’t matter. Rooney has made my life amazing and I wouldn’t be the same without her. Being a mom may feel overwhelming sometimes but nothing has ever felt so rewarding.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?
I’m an arts and crafts kind of gal so any kind of project I enjoy, especially when my daughter and I can make masterpieces. I also enjoy shopping and refurnishing old pieces of furniture.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?
I received my degree from Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii. My husband was stationed at Marine Corp Base Hawaii and so I flew out to Hawaii to join him. Hawaii was a wonderful experience but we decided we wanted to be closer to our family and move back home to Nebraska.
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Kind
If you could have a super power, what would it be?
Time Travel! I would love to see the world at different points in history and the future. Meeting people from the past and future would be so interesting.
What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life?
My awesome dance moves for sure.
Which talent would you most like to have?
I want to garden. I don’t know much about plants and usually end up killing the ones I do have. I would love to have a flower and vegetable garden someday.
If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be?
I’d like to be a photographer. I enjoy taking pictures and capturing every moment possible. When my daughter is older I want there to be plenty of pictures that she can look back and see herself at different times in her life.

To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
What is your favorite local restaurant?
La Paz, best Mexican restaurant in town.
If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be?
The first person to pop in my head is Jim Carrey. I’ve always been a fan of his work, even though some of his movies are a bit cheesy. I think dinner with Jim Carrey would be a fun time!
