Tell us a little about your business.- We are a full service janitorial and commercial cleaning business. We clean commercial facilities anywhere from once per week to 3 shifts per day in a single facility. We also offer carpet cleaning, floor cleaning and refinishing as well as cleaning in commercial kitchens and high cleaning in taller facilities.

How did you get started in the business? – I started in 1994 as the Human Resources Manager and worked my way up to General Manager. In 2009 my wife Angela and I bought the business from Ed Nix. We owned the business until February of 2025 when we sold the business to Reid Morrow. I now work for Reid doing sales, customer service and as a facilitator in operations.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Going from HR to managing the whole business as the GM was a very challenging promotion. Learning to work with customers directly, dealing with operational budgets and having 6-7 direct reports in all segments of the business really caused me to grow quickly.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Owning the business for 15 years was very rewarding for my wife and myself. Then being able to sell it to a high character owner in Reid and being able to see the business grow all along the way has been a really nice way to finish off my time here and feel like I achieved all I had set out to in the beginning.

Tell us a little about your family. – My wife Angela and I are long time Lincolnites. We have two grown children Daniel (31) and Jeremiah (21) who live in Lincoln. Anytime we can get one or both over for dinner is a great day! We have 3 dogs, Bear, Snacks and Lulu. Bear had her 15 minutes of fame on the news a few years ago as she was pulled out the ice of our pond by the Sheriff’s Dept to whom we are extremely grateful.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Ed Nix, my old boss and former owner of ServiceMaster PBM (ServiceMasterClean.com) was a great mentor to me. He set me on a path to own the business and I am forever grateful to him for that.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Anything that involves my family. Spending time with them reminds me what life is all about. Also a fire pit at our house on a cool fall evening.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I am very funny. Most people don’t know that or laugh at my humor but really I am very funny. It’s a hidden talent.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – Teammates, my wife and I have been involved with them for nearly 20 years.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel.

What is your favorite local Lincoln restaurant? – Casa Bovina

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Jesus, I have so many questions.
