Tell us a little about your business. – At FNIC (fnicgroup.com) Trusted insurance advisors, I focus on partnering with commercial clients to provide thoughtful risk management and insurance guidance. The goal is to build lasting relationships and help businesses navigate change with confidence.

How did you get started in the business? – I got my start in the insurance business nearly 14 years ago, drawn by the opportunity to work closely with people and help them protect what they were building. Early on, I learned that this career is as much about trust and listening as it is about knowledge. Over the years, those relationships—and the chance to grow alongside my clients—are what have kept me passionate about the work I do.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Navigating growth while maintaining a standard. As responsibilities increase and clients’ needs become more complex, there’s a challenge in balancing scale and service to ensure every relationship receives a high level of attention and guidance.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Building trusted, long-term relationships with clients who view me as a strategic partner rather than a service provider. That trust is a cornerstone of my success.

Tell us a little about your family. – My wife, Aleeyah, and I live in southeast Lincoln. We are currently expecting our first child. I’ve mastered the uncle role with my nephew and three nieces, so thrilled to step into my role as dad.

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Dependable, not only as someone people can count on in the business world, but from a personal standpoint as well.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – Entrepreneurship. Building something from scratch that creates value long after the workday ends. There’s something rewarding about creating systems, culture, and momentum that others can grow into.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo is one of my favorites. Highlights the things we seek are never as far away as they seem, and to focus on the journey. This is a great book for a perspective refresh.

What is your favorite movie? – The Judge with Robert Duvall and Robert Downey Jr. Highly recommend if you haven’t seen it. One of those movies I think everyone can find something to relate to.

What is your favorite TV show? – Shark Tank. In my current role, I work with a wide breadth ranging from new entrepreneurs to seasoned business owners. Being a part of that journey is one of my favorite aspects of my career. It’s intriguing to see what ideas individuals can create and then pursue with a passion.

What is your favorite local Lincoln restaurant? – Depending on what my wife and I are in the mood for, we are big fans of the Chicken Caprese Pizza from Momo’s and the asada tacos from El Chapparo.
