Meet Kyler Pfingsten, the site manager at JetSplash.

Tell us a little about your business. – For 18 years, we’ve been helping the city of Lincoln shine brighter with our speedy, spotless car washes. With five locations and our sixth opening soon, we are able to serve all of the Lincoln area. We’re a local business—not franchised, and we proudly employ over 150 people. At JetSplash (jetsplash.com), we take pride in our community, and we strive to give back through donations and fundraising opportunities.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – The biggest challenge I have faced professionally has been working in several different industries. I have worked in healthcare, recreation, and now back to my roots in the service industry. This challenge has actually been more of an opportunity, as it has helped me grow as a person and professional.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – My most important professional achievement would be overcoming the largest professional challenge I have faced of working in various industries. I have proved that I can perform highly in industries that require very different skillsets.

Tell us a little about your family. – I have been with my girlfriend Sierra for five years. I moved to Lincoln after graduating from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 2019. Sierra is also from Kearney but was in Lincoln attending UNMC for Dental Hygiene at the time. We both fell in love with Lincoln and have called it home ever since. We have a cat named Gatsby and are looking to purchase a house and stay in Lincoln.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – The biggest turning point in my life was when I graduated from UNK with my bachelor’s degree and moved to Lincoln. This was quite the change for me after living in a less populated area and being focused on school or sports, and now living in a busy city looking to work full time and build a life and career.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – On my days off, I enjoy lifting weights, watching sports, and spending time with my family. I also like watching podcasts and learning about various topics that peak my interest.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I was a wrestler for 15 years. My passion for wrestling transferred into weightlifting when I began college. I have been lifting weights for eight years now and enjoy staying active and living a healthy lifestyle.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – “Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.” – Henry Ford

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Diligent.

Which talent would you most like to have? – I would most like to learn a musical instrument. Either piano or guitar.

What is your favorite TV show? The Office is my all-time favorite TV show but recently, I’ve enjoyed watching The Good Place.

What is your favorite local restaurant? – Sierra and I’s favorite restaurant is Lead Belly in downtown Lincoln.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – I would have dinner with Joe Rogan because of all of the stories he could tell.
