How did you get started in the business? – We opened Senior Helpers of Southeast Nebraska to bring an alternative approach to in-home senior care that is client-centric.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Professionally, the biggest challenge we have faced is the speed of growth as word-of-mouth is a big source of acquiring clientele in the Midwest.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Our most important professional achievement has been the client feedback we have received and the testimonials of the lives we have been able to positively impact.

Tell us a little about your family. – My family consists of my parents, a brother and sister, and my son. We were all born and raised in the Midwest and raised to conduct ourselves with integrity.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – The biggest turning point in our lives was taking the leap of faith to leave our corporate jobs to make a difference in the lives of others.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – On a day off, I enjoy spending time with friends and family.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – The most unique or interesting thing about me that most people probably don’t know is that I was adopted as an infant.

Who inspires you? – I am inspired by my children. I want to leave behind a legacy they will be proud of.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – My favorite quote is “If you have the choice between being right and being kind, choose being kind.” -Dr. Wayne Dyer.

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Empathetic

If you could have a super power, what would it be? – If I could have a super power, I would want the ability to read people’s minds.

Which talent would you most like to have? – The talent I would most like to have is to be able to draw/paint.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – If I could choose any other profession to be successful in, I would choose to be a lawyer seeking justice for the wronged and innocent.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – I am passionate about and involved with the local nonprofit organizations that help the homeless community. When I was a young child, I volunteered at a local homeless shelter with my church, and I was moved by the stories of the individuals staying at the shelter.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – The last good book I read was Can’t Hurt Me: Master Your Mind and Defy the Odds by Steven Goggins
