Meet Lori Yant, production assistant at Sign Pro of Lincoln.

Tell us a little about your business. – Sign Pro (signprolincoln.com) is a full-service sign company that has been providing signage and graphics in the area for over 25 years. We make signs for business fronts, real estate signs, yard signs, vehicle wraps or decals, banners, and vinyl of all kinds.

How did you get started in the business? – I wanted something that wasn’t behind a desk and still let me use my creativity. I looked for many different options and Sign Pro stood out most, luckily I stood out to them, too.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Getting up on really tall ladders! Heights aren’t what is scary, it’s the ladders.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Being trusted to go out and do jobs on my own.

Tell us a little about your family. – I’m married and we have a 10-year-old son.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – When my son was born. It changed how I viewed things.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Cross stitch, hang with my family, watch or go to sporting events, nap, go camping, or garden.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I followed a 40 horse hitch across Iowa for about two weeks with my grandparents and brother as a kid in their mini home. We got to ride the hitch, help with the horses, and camped out at every stop.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? – “Cover Me In Sunshine” by Pink.

If you could have a super power, what would it be? – To fly, it would make traveling a lot easier and I could visit more places.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – Cooking, I grew up helping my mom in the kitchen and have continued honing the skills on my own.
