Meet Mandy Brummels, the owner of LIVE Hydration Spa Lenox.

Tell us a little about your business. – We help people achieve their health goals and have a better quality of life through IV hydration treatments and vitamin injections. We also offer botox, lab draws, primary care, and foot detox baths. We can serve clients both in our spa and at events or offsite!

How did you get started in the business? – I have an English teaching degree but most of my adult years have been spent in the mining, manufacturing, and (now) health supplements and service industry. I started my career in the corporate world back in Washington in an entry level position and worked hard to get promoted over the years to a business development account manager. I grew my online supplement business to a point that eventually allowed me to leave the corporate life a few years ago. That decision allowed me to have the time and finances to ultimately open a LIVE Hydration Spa.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – We take Sundays off from work to worship at our church, eat meals as a family, and enjoy a phone-free day together. Naps are a highlight of our day!

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I grew up in Alaska and know how to fish, preserve food, dig for clams, start a fire, and other skills.

Who inspires you? – My husband Jeremy. He is the definition of an overcomer, especially as a child and young adult. He is resilient, persistent, and has a lot of grit. He is also incredibly generous and kind.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – I read a lot of John Maxwell, and he writes about how we need to reframe our perspective on failure. Failure is simply data that we can use to make an improvement or try another way.

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Kind.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – I can replicate many restaurant meals at home, often just by tasting the meal and figuring out the ingredients in it.

Which talent would you most like to have? – I have massive stage fright, so I always thought it would be so cool to be able to sing and entertain large audiences.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – I would love to be a traveling food photographer/reviewer.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – My husband and I have a heart to help kids, especially ones who may be struggling with food/home insecurity, are in the foster care system, or that have other needs. My sister’s memorial charity in Alaska, Sarah’s Closet, is also very special to us. She was a labor and delivery nurse and while she was battling cancer, she secretly donated baby items to the babies she delivered. Sarah’s Closet was created shortly after her passing, and this organization continues to bless every baby born at the Central Peninsula General Hospital with a little bag of clothing and baby items.

What is your favorite local restaurant? – We love Venue Restaurant & Lounge and MoMo Pizzeria & Ristorante.
