Tell us a little about your business.

I have the privilege of meeting with local business owners in our area and working closely with them to facilitate their banking needs. We pride ourselves in great customer service while using the best products on the market.

How did you get started in the business?

I started as an intern in customer service at Five Points Bank in Grand Island. I moved to Lincoln in the spring of 2018 to head up cash management/business banking for Five Points Bank’s Lincoln location. I was offered an opportunity at West Gate Bank a year later and have been working and growing professionally with West Gate ever since.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?

It is challenging to adapt to different customers in different situations and not being able to help each customer. Due to different regulations in the banking industry, we are not able to make every deal possible.

Tell us a little about your family.

My parents recently moved into their dream home near Worms, NE. I am the youngest of three children. The eldest is my brother Nick. Him, his wife Ashley, and their three-year-old boy Colten live on the family farm outside of Worms. The middle sibling is my sister Kristin. She currently lives in Grand Island with her husband Andrew and their one-year-old daughter Emery.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?

I do not sit still very well. Any given free time you can find me hunting, fishing, snowboarding, traveling, playing volleyball (sand and court), softball, baseball, basketball, or hanging out with friends.

Who inspires you?

I would say my inspiration comes from my family. Growing up on a family farm and cherishing the little things in life have always stuck with me. If everyone close to me is happy then I am happy.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

“No matter where you go, always remember where you came from.” This is something my father told me when I left for college. I try to always cherish the small things in life and create happiness from every situation.

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be?

Traveling DJ.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why?
