How did you get started in the business?

After graduating with my master’s degree at UNL, I was hired at REGA in 2011. It has been a great adventure over the past 10 years and I have enjoyed the variety of projects we have worked on.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?

Learning to communicate in all different types of relationships (client, consultants, city staff, etc.) especially in a digital age.

What has been your most important achievement professionally?

Becoming a licensed professional engineer. It has challenged me to grow in my knowledge of engineering and opened doors to projects in Kansa, New Mexico, Nebraska, and soon Minnesota.

Marrying my wife Rachel. She has been my biggest supporter. We’ve walked through a lot in the 10 years we’ve been married and she has been a great friend.

Hanging out with the family.

Not only have we helped in their musical talents, but it is also fun to help them grow in their understanding of Jesus Christ.

The Bible. It helps me fix my mind on eternal things not the temporal we so often worry about.
