Tell us a little about your business (a1autolincoln.com). – A1 Automotive is a full service shop where we do anything from basic vehicle maintenance to full transmission and engine tear downs.
How did you get started in the business? – I got started in the mechanic business at a young age with my father who taught me almost everything I know to then me going to college in Milford NE to learn some of the newer things I didn’t quite know or understand yet.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – My personal biggest challenge I’ve faced while being a mechanic was when I first started working at a shop I still hadn’t learned some of the ins and outs of vehicles like my peers did at the time but time and patience taught me a lot and learning from people who have been in the business a long time.
What has been your most important achievement professionally? – My most important achievement was when I learned to put a vehicles timing components in and after putting everything back together it started right up with zero issues.
Tell us a little about your family. – I have a little family; I have my very loving and supportive fiancée, and I have a super energetic and sweet daughter.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – The biggest turning point in my life was when I joined the armed forces back in 2021. I loved serving my country and being able to add such close friends from all over the country.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – My favorite things to do on my days off is spending time with my family where we can do anything from going to the park or having lazy days on the couch watching movies and eating a bunch of popcorn.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – The most unique thing I would have to say about myself is that my father was the only one who raised me from the age of 7 and up.
Who inspires you? – There are two people who inspire me: 1- is my father for raising me to the person I am today and 2- my fiance for always supporting me and helping me day in and day out.
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – If I have to choose, one word to be remembered by is passionate.
If you could have a super power, what would it be? – The one super power I think I would choose would be super strength to always be able to pick up my daughter no matter how old I may be.
What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – My greatest talent that I don’t use at work very often would have to be is being able to work on computers and diagnose computer software.
What is your favorite movie? – My favorite movie would have to be Alice in Wonderland just from the memories I have watching it with my daughter.
What is your favorite local Lincoln restaurant? – My favorite local Lincoln restaurant is Hop Cat in the Haymarket area.
