We’ve been able to wrap quite a variety of vehicles – ranging from sports cars to work trucks, boats, off-road/racing vehicles, locker rooms, buses, and signage.
How did you get started in the business? – I’ve always made art and have been design oriented, with my graphic design experience starting in high school, making logos and promotional material for friends and small businesses. With a life-long passion for cars, this was a great opportunity and combination of my interests at a new, local, family-run business. I started as the designer shortly after Automotive Solutions started in 2022, here in the capitol city.
What has been your most important achievement professionally? – My mural here in downtown Lincoln. It was an honor to create one of the largest pieces of art in the city at such a respected gallery. It gives me pride to contribute artistically to the city that I was born and raised in.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – After graduating with a graphic design degree from UNL, I had the opportunity to create a street art mural in downtown Lincoln at Kiechel Fine Art. After a handful of sessions with a scissor lift, as well as a telescopic buck lift, I was able to cover most of the visible 4 stories. The vast majority of the mural was improvised, using Montana Black Series spray paint.
Who inspires you? – Mainly my family, who’ve always supported me and shown me how to be a loving, hard working, honest person. My other inspirations come from artists throughout time that push the limits of art or concepts that challenge the way the eye and mind view something.
What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – “Get some Love in your life, whether that be another person or just loving yourself. Love is Good, Spread Love!” – Mac Miller.
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Genuine.
What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – My greatest non-utilized talent would be video and media editing. Due to the amount of time involved, I haven’t been able to dive as deep as I would like into that sphere of the digital world.
Which talent would you most like to have? – I would most like to have the talent of wingsuit skydiving.
If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – If I could choose any other career, it would be a traveling artist. From canvas paintings to murals, it would be an amazing way to see the world and expand my artistic abilities/vision.
What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – My favorite book is Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.
What is your favorite local Lincoln restaurant? – My favorite Lincoln restaurant would be MoMo Pizzeria & Ristorante.
If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Terence McKenna.
