Tell us a little about your business.

How did you get started in the business?

I have been in telecommunications for almost 25 years. I worked with another large provider for 23 years. I have been with ALLO for almost two years.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?

Making sure I have time with my family. Making sure I’m at as many of my kids’ events as possible.

Tell us a little about your family.

My wife Jamie works at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services with the Chronic Disease Prevention and Control Program. We have two children. My son Derek is in his second year at Emporia State University. My daughter Kyler is a Junior at North Star High School.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?

I enjoy spending time outside with family and friends.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?

I umpire between 50–60 baseball games during the summer. It is a way for me to stay around the game of baseball.

Who inspires you?

My wife. She is an amazing mother to our kids. She makes me a better person.

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be?

Hard-working.

If you could have a super power, what would it be?

The ability to go back in time.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be?

I would love to be a professional umpire. It would be a neat experience to call MLB games.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why?

I’m the founder and president of the Timberwolves Athletic Association. It is a nonprofit athletic organization. I get to help kids work on bettering their basketball skills. It is great working with the kids.

What is your favorite movie?

The Sandlot.

What is your favorite TV show?

Last Man Standing.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be?

Bo Jackson, the only professional athlete in history to be named an All-Star in both baseball and football.
