What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Getting involved in our community through Leadership Lincoln and its Executive Series and Fellows Program. These programs opened my eyes for all that Lincoln has to offer and helped me be aware of how to get involved.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I like to do anything with my family – when we have a true day off (no kid activities), we usually try to get out and play golf.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – For 21 years, I officiated high school and small college football. I am presently in my 29th year of officiating basketball at the high school level as well.

What is the one goal you would most like to accomplish? – Before my boys get out of high school, I want to take them fishing in Canada.
How would your friends describe you? – Loyal, trustworthy, and a good listener. A friend to turn to when someone just needs someone to hear what they have to say with no judgment.
What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – Creative writing.
Which talent would you most like to have? – Being able to build/fix things around our house.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? – The ability to remember peoples’ names that I’ve met only once.
What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – I’m not much of a book reader, but the last good one I remember is The Blind Side.
What is your favorite movie? – Hoosiers
What is your favorite TV show? – Almost anything reality, but if I had to choose, it would probably be Survivor.
What is your favorite Lincoln restaurant? – The Steak House
If you could have dinner with one person from the past or present, who would it be? – My grandfather, Bob Splinter, is the most influential person there’s ever been in my life. I’d like one more chance to be able to have just one more hour to spend with him and miss being able to pick up the phone and talk with him.
