What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – As with any newly established company, we are focused on getting the word out and letting our professional colleagues know we are here and in a position to provide their clients with outstanding professional trust services.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – That’s still in front of me! To date, I’d say assembling a dynamic and engaging team to build DGT’s business from the ground up.

Tell us a little about your family. – My husband, Steve Christophersen, is an attorney with Ameritas. We have two pretty great kids. Paige just turned 11, and Cole is 8. Every day is a new adventure!

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Becoming a parent. My perspective (and my priorities!) changed the moment my daughter arrived.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Hard to narrow down, but it would certainly involve a cup of coffee and a great book. And maybe a bike ride.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – My father always encouraged me to follow my dreams. “Believe in yourself and have faith in those around you.”

If you had a theme song, what would it be? – I do have a theme song (doesn’t everyone?), it’s ‘I’m So Excited’ by the Pointer Sisters.

If you could have a super power, what would it be? – Oh, that’s easy. I’d love to fly!

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – I’m a pretty good pool player.

What local non-profit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – I’m an ardent support of my alma mater, the University of Nebraska. I believe firmly in the importance of higher education. I also love sports and the impact they can have on young people and fully embrace the mission of Special Olympics of Nebraska.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – I just finished Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. Fascinating insight into a unique practice in our nation’s past.

What is your favorite TV show? – Right now my husband and I are watching House of Cards. By comparison, my life is so easy and serene!

What is your favorite local restaurant? – I can narrow it down to two. For typical American cuisine, we frequent Toast quite often. Great atmosphere and excellent food. When looking for a more international experience, I can’t get enough of Blue Orchid.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Eleanor Roosevelt.
