Give us a brief synopsis of what your company does. – Advance Services was founded in 1994 with a clear vision: to provide staffing solutions to employers by supplying quality workers at competitive rates. We pride ourselves on delivering qualified and dependable workers to our customers by spending more time with clients and employees up front to make a better match.
How long have you been in Lincoln? – Our Lincoln office opened in 2007.
Who are the owners/important executives? – Founder and President Paul Sandall started Advance Services Inc. in 1994
What do you think makes you different from other companies similar to yours? – First, our success and longevity in this highly competitive business is attributed to our solid business model which is based on our “Golden Rule” – How we treat our employees is how they will treat us. Second, Advance Services Inc. is small enough to establish a personal relationship, yet large enough to structure our services to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. In addition to the time we take to make sure we fully understand the employers needs and develop a unique plan to meet them, our second-to-none customer service with our unique selection process, is a win-win for our customers.
What do you like about doing business in Lincoln? – Lincoln is growing and we enjoy working with business that share the same family based morals and values. Our office is not only excited about the opportunity to help people in the community but to also help Lincoln grow.
What kind of community organizations/groups are you involved with? – Every office is involved in local community organizations. Our Lincoln office in particular is actively involved in Economic Development, Center for People in Need, LIBA, and the Chamber.
Do you have a business philosophy or mission statement? – As previously mentioned our business model is based on the “Golden Rule” to treat others how you want to be treated. How we treat our employees is how they will treat us.
What changes have you seen in the industry and your company in the past few years? – The biggest change we have seen is in technology and the reliance on social media.
What do you see happening with the business in the next five years? – Advance Services Inc. prides itself in continued growth. We will continue to expand in locations and grow in partnerships within each community.
What is one of the biggest challenges that your company has faced? – Managing and strategizing our continued growth and to attract qualified and skilled laborers in areas with very low unemployment.
What has been your most important achievement as a business? – While growing every year at a rapid pace, we have still been able to maintain the family values we were founded on.
What was the biggest turning point in your business? – In 1995 we opened our second office in Grand Island, which was a springboard to the next 36 locations!
What is the most unique or interesting thing about your business that most people don’t know? – Advance Services Inc. was founded in Nebraska and our corporate office still is based and operated in-state. Advance Services provides our services in 23 states with over 50 branch offices to better serve our clients and employees.
What is one goal for your business that you have yet to accomplish? – To have operations in all 50 states.
