Alisha Fox was introduced to the salon business in high school when she had the opportunity to work side by side with a woman who later became her mentor and to this day is her inspiration. This led her to achieve her dream of opening her own salon, Asha, which is a full service concept Aveda salon where they take pride in treating their guests with ultimate service. They offer complimentary blue oil scalp massages, make-up touch ups, luxury hand treatments and aroma infused chakra journeys to every guest as well as fresh cool cucumbers and hot towels with their shampoos. Their mission statement is “Let what inspires you transform you”. We strive to make every visit an experience.
Tell us a little about your family.
One of the things I’ve come to understand is that families don’t only grow up under the same roof. My definition of family has broadened to mean not only relatives but people who take the time to listen to you. I’m hoping that Asha salon will do such an amazing job of honing into what you want that we will feel like family to you. That’s our mission!
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?
My ideal day waking from a good night’s sleep, yoga outdoors, a fully charged i-pod, time to reflect and reconnect with myself, and spend time writing.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?
I love the outdoors! Hiking, camping, fishing you name it I love it. It’s definitely a 360 from work with makeup, hair, and heels. It’s hard for people to believe I’m secretly a “no makeup and hat” kind of person.
