Annette Marquez, owner and president of The Perfect Occasion LLC, is excited to again be presenting her course on Meeting and Event Planning basics this summer at Southeast Community College Continuing Education.  The interactive course is designed to give you tools that will help you make your events run smoothly, save money and time, and reduce stress.  You will learn basic steps that will form the foundation for you as you create your event.  Topics include how to develop effective event goals and objectives, budgets and timelines. The class will also cover writing comprehensive Requests for Proposal, selecting venues and suppliers, and money saving tips.

The two-week course focuses on planning meetings and events for companies, associations and non-profits.  It is designed for those just entering the world of event planning or those who have been doing it for a while and want to increase their skills.  Classes are Monday, August 5 and August 12, from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the Continuing Education Center, 301 S 68th Street Place, Room 404 in Lincoln.
