Enjoy a day of food, wine and Medieval entertainment. James Arthur Vineyards and the Lincoln based Society for Creative Anachronism are teaming up to host the Vineyard’s 13th Annual Renaissance Festival, Saturday, May 21st from noon to 8:00 p.m. at James Arthur Vineyards.
The Society for Creative Anachronism is a local chapter dedicated to the study of arts and sciences of the Middle Ages. On the 21st, the group will conduct combat demonstrations in full armor throughout the day on the tournament lawn. This year’s festival will once again feature a large children’s area with games and crafts.
James Arthur Vineyards features different styles of award winning wines, including Mead, which is made from honey, and will provide tastings.
The admission fee for the festival is $2 per person with all proceeds going to Heartland Big Brothers/Big Sisters. There will also be a charge for wine, food and children’s activities.
James Arthur Vineyards is the state’s largest and most awarded winery, located just north of Lincoln near Raymond, NE.
