Robert Darrah of Legacy Retirement Communities Named Future Foodservice Leader
Legacy Retirement Communities’ (www.legacyretirement.com) Director of Dining Services, Robert Darrah, has been named a Future Foodservice Leader by Foodservice Equipment and Supplies Magazine in its January 2016 issue.
Darrah was selected due to his “exemplary approach to working with his customers and a willingness to embrace new technology. Darrah’s participation in various industry educational opportunities and his ability to leverage past experience in current business dealings” were also commended.
According to the magazine’s Editor, Joseph Carbonara, “Robert’s commitment and passion make him an asset to the foodservice industry.”
Darrah has been the Director of Dining Services for the Legacy Retirement Communities for nearly 17 years. He oversees the operation of four communities, with an operating budget of 5.5 million dollars serving over 50,000 meals per month with a culinary team consisting of 36 full-time and 160 part-time employees. Under his direction, the Legacy Dining Service program has evolved from banquet style to full, five-star restaurant style dining.
