Legacy Retirement Communities Launches New Meal Program
Beginning in January 2017, Legacy Retirement Communities (www.legacyretirement.com) is unveiling a brand new meal program for their residents featuring local, national and international flavors.
Their national award-winning culinary team of certified chefs will be creating 95% of meals from scratch, utilizing locally sourced foods when possible with an emphasis on whole grains, fresh fruits, fresh vegetables and fresh herbs & spices.
Scratch cooking is the art of assembling all of the raw ingredients and creating a dish that not only looks delicious, but tastes amazing without all of the hidden additives and preservatives. In other words, foods that aren’t pre-packaged or pre-processed. Fresh hand-cut salmon fillets, fresh poultry and hand cut steaks are just a few of the samplings that the diverse menu will offer.
“Our goal is to offer positive nutrition, and assist those looking to optimize their health by offering diverse choices to even the most discerning diner,” said Robert Darrah, Director of Dining Services for the Legacy Retirement Communities.
