During the months of November and December, United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County (unitedwaylincoln.org) is mobilizing community members to volunteer at local nonprofit agencies across the community to close gaps and open opportunities for every resident in Lincoln and Lancaster County. This effort has been dubbed a Season of Service.
Any community member interested in signing up and taking part in this effort is encouraged to visit volunteerLNK.org to view all available opportunities. VolunteerLNK.org is a centralized site where individuals looking to make a difference can easily find opportunities to volunteer their time and talents. The platform simplifies the process of finding meaningful volunteer opportunities, and is tailored to each user’s unique interests, skills and availability.
Volunteer opportunities can be filled by individuals, families, church groups, high school and college students as well as retirees. The site also offers options for companies to get involved together.
Additionally, all 501(c)(3)s and qualified organizations in Lancaster County are encouraged to register on volunteerLNK.org, if they have not done so already, and post their volunteer opportunities.
